medhead travel challenge

I have to write about what I did and how it all went.

I had a scattered approach which was silly in hindsight. I should have focused on one or two sales strategies and gone for it.
I should have had someone with me so we could work together as I don’t know this area.

Too many new things defeated me and I end the challenge with only 1 sale.
I will however give it a go from the UK, maybe start a blog and network a little.
I am keeping Kim’s number and will definitely call her again.

This is harder than it seems, I am not much of a communicator. Normally people want to speak to me.
I think I would have more success in a place I knew better.
It is an experience like this that makes you understand yourself a little more also.
I am going to give it another blast today before the grand finale tomorrow

Amazingly I got a property up on medhead.com, it is such a nice feeling. That is my first sale. I have to get more now I know how to do it.
I am not ready to leave here yet, it is really cool

Marianna introduced me to a man that runs an estate agency, he does not do rentals – foolish if you ask me, but I did not share that opinion with him. He will pass on all rental property owners to me, he has my number and email address. He says he is getting loads of people wanting to rent their property. If it were me, I would change the focus of my business.

I think he wants a referrer fee for each new property – fair enough really.

Big flaw in the plan, Marianna’s friends do have the information on the price of houses and how much they have been sold for but that is not the actual sales price but rather the registered sales price.
The actual sales price is kept a secret.

I thought I was going to be getting great top secret information, saying that, they were able to introduce me to the local property tycoons.
Although they have all the contacts they need to sell their properties without them ever touching an estate agent they knew a lot of people who did not.
They are taking me to a café tomorrow to meet a few associates, they may require to sell or rent some properties. I really hope so as I seem to be on a wile goose chase – it had better have its rewards at the end, either money or more of Marianna would be good.

This morning I logged on to my account on medhead,com there were still no sales, I was feeling a bit depressed.
I was going for a feel sorry for myself day and have a few drinks when I met this woman, she was an estate agent who speaks perfect English – absolutely gorgeous.
We went to the bar (well, café place) together, she is charming, witty and amazingly single. After a great afternoon of chatting, I told her why I was here. She found it so funny and actually thought I was joking.
She then told me of a place where people meet, more like a club where a lot of property discussions take place.
First of all they discuss the values of properties and how they meet the local average. She said that they have all the information of what has been sold and for how much. I assume it is very much like the site in the UK where you enter the postcode and it tells you what has sold and for how much. Except this information is private.
She is a member of this private club and is willing to introduce me.
To clinch the deal I am taking her for a slap up meal tonight.

These people must have heaps of contacts that can help me.
Plus, Marianna is drop dead gorgeous – I have a real thing for hot blooded Italian women.

My blog was down twice, now I am back up and not going to give up.
Here is the deal, I have been set this cool medhead travel challenge.

I have been out handing out leaflets, I was able to leave some in shop windows.
I check the reporting system in medhead.com and shockingly not one person has uploaded their property yet.
I am now re-assessing and changing tactics.
Instead of leaving them in shop windows I will try and actually talk to people more, give them the benefits of having their property on medhead.com.
I have discussed everything at length with kim, thankfully everyone is facing the same situation.
Kim told me about one of the competitors going to every property with a for sale sign, this is a great idea.
I had thought of signing on with a charity, giving them a % of all revenue then letting people know they will be benefiting a charity as well as themselves.

I’m used to receiving spammy emails you know the thing “ you have won 1 million quid click here to receive your prize I delete them as fast as I get them, But I was already registered with the property portal www.medhead.com and I was kinda drawn into the idea of accepting the medhead travel challenge, as nothing and I mean nothing has been going well for me at the moment and I so need to get out of the UK for a break real soon.

Got my destination! medhead.com is sending me to Italy.! ALRIGHT which is just as well as I let my flat out being as I have split up with my girlfriend S who slept with my best mate Barry and then I have been made redundant so, yeah you could say I’m ready to leave, and I hope I make some money from this game as otherwise it’s back to living with mum and dad.

Last day the office used there photo copier to make up a hefty number of what www.medhead.com call marketing materials quite a fancy name for leaflets but whatever, didn’t cost me anything. Italian women are really hot so hope to find me a signora or two to pass my time, so Barry mate won’t see you when I get back okay.

I’ve arrived in Rome …YES….. amazing room overlooking the roof tops of the city plus a hand full of train tickets to just about everywhere had to pay extra for the marketing materials but kept the receipts . Going to get started in the morning as I’m knackered but going out on the town to taste the night life medhead.com you came through.

The Italians are really friendly I’ve discovered they are cool about me sticking my leaflets on there shop windows can you imagine a foreign bloke just turning up not a word in there language and miming gonna stick this here mate okay,.thumbs up and on to the next place.
I never had myself down for this type of bloke but it is ok.
I spoke to Kim today from medhead.com, she has suggested a few other marketing methods that may interest me, I am going to look online for expat forums and see if I can get talking to some people who may point me in the right direction.
I need to walk into a bar with only home owners that want to advertise – we can dream!

I want to tell you quick about Rome, I am not much of a ‘wow man’ but Rome is really cool, it is hard to imagine who has walked the same steps I take around the city.

I was handing out more medhead.com leaflets today, most people are really cool but some look at you like you are begging.
There were some other people handing out day trip information.
I ended up getting chatting with some beautiful French ladies on holiday and we all went for a day trip to Sperlongo, it was heavenly, I think they both fancy me.

Just getting washed then meeting them again. They went to a cool bar last night and are taking me there tonight.

This is my third attempt at blogging here.
I was on the verge of giving up as my blog was deleted twice.
well, i am determined and will keep going.
